Fr. Richard McNally, our newest pastor, joins the E.P.I.C. Ministry Faith Sharing this coming Thursday, March 7, at 7pm. Come to hear his testimony on becoming a priest as well as just getting to know him much better. You won't want to miss this!
Do you know the difference between Confession and Reconciliation?
Why do Catholics confess their sins to a priest? Is Confession based on the Bible? Is Confession by email or texting allowed? I know many of you have had these questions. Come to the parish's "Catholic Cafe" on Sunday, March 10, from 10:30am-11:45am in the parish hall as Fr. Richard answers these and any other questions you may have regarding Confession or Reconciliation. A review of the Catechism of the Catholic Church on this sacrament will also be presented. From Kainoa: "Has it been awhile since you've last confessed to a priest? During Lent, I challenge each of you to make time to go to confession. It's an incredible moment to receive this incredible sacrament and the grace of God bestowed on you. See the latest edition of the Hawaii Catholic Herald to read several articles regarding the Sacrament of Reconciliation (click here)."
For a schedule of when OLS has confessions during Lent, see our special Lent page. |
